We aren’t going to lie. We had a little case of the green-eyed monster (in a good way!) when we saw this shoot – learning this little cabin of dreaminess was in our back yard – seriously?! Hehe, I jest – but I guess there’s always this twinge of “damn! would have loved to shoot here!” when you see an amazing location! But once that twinge of envy faded away we were left with this immense pride that it was shot here in our home land Australia, not to mention in our back yard, only a sunburn out of Byron Bay! Just goes to show you can travel all over the world looking for exciting, exotic adventures and sometimes, there’s no place like home!

Original Boho go-to store has been reborn with this epic shoot and collection – Tree of Life has been around since I was going on shopping trips with my girlfriends in high school! I always loved the smell of incense and the free spirited, magical life it promised, a life that seemed so far away from the rather humdrum Melbourne suburb of Cheltenham where we grew up. It’s amazing to see one of it’s campaign shoots so perfectly brought to life by the team on this shoot.

The styling, the clothes, the über Australiana vibe (from the picture of the kangaroo over the fire place to the quintessential bushland that is our home here every day) fit together so perfectly, and still promise that free spirited life away from life, where you DO live in a little cabin in the woods, and listen to sitar music while you drink spiced tea and do yoga with your girlfriends as the light streams in the window…

Tree of Life, we salute you! I’m feeling inspired ~ excuse me while I punch ‘Indian music’ into Pandora, make myself a tea and sit on my verandah with some Nan Champa burning… I’m in heaven.
